Our very cold Winter and oh how I need to re pot!

How neglectful I am at the moment to this blog and I do apologise though I do have a good excuse. We have been experiencing an extremely cold winter this year, we even managed to make a high of 12C one day, and in a climate where in Summer we can experience 40C+ temperatures, this winter has been hard-hitting to say the least. Therefore as you can imagine, my darling balcony pots have been hit hard and are desperately in need of some love and re potting. I am pleased to say that my Rosemary and Lavender are hanging in there, as to be expected and the others like Mr Basil and Mrs Mint and Master Parsley are sadly needing to be replaced which I will be doing in the near future. My darling girls are really being inspired by my love of cooking and are really 'into' cooking these days and much to my delight, utilise all the fresh balcony herbs. Even they are starting to complain about the lack of resources on the balcony so I had better get my act together pretty soon. So stay tuned and when hubby and I manage to make our way to the garden shop to restock I will be back boasting to you about my acquisitions.

Having said that, I have been delighted to find, thanks to my bro-in-law, about a fabulous rose farm with even more fabulously reasonable prices here on Brisbane's outskirts and so I frequent there. Hubby is kind enough to purchase 2 doz for me each visit which makes my heart sing having these gorgeous creations adorning my vases in our new abode. Which reminds me, I must go and visit them again as have just thrown out the last batch of roses.

If you are getting bored with me on this blog and that is totally understandable, feel free to join me at my new blog blogtastical banter and enjoy my summations of my life's situations but I do promise I will be back here soon.
